The object of this game is to become a personal finance guru by having the maximum net worth at the end of play. The game can be played by individuals or teams. If desired, the teacher may display the questions for all his (her) students and accept the answer of the first to raise his (her) hand; if this procedure is used or if teams are competing, the teacher or a student must keep track of net worth earned. To enable students to see current net worth scores, the whiteboard or chalkboard could be utilized for score keeping. Another way to review the subject matter is to ask each student to write down the answers to the questions and keep track of net worth. Three types of questions are available: easy--$1,000 of net worth, medium difficulty--$5,000 of net worth, and hard--$10,000 of net worth. In team competition, each team can choose the category and degree of difficulty of its questions. If the first response of an individual or team is incorrect, no net worth dollars are earned, and the competing team is then allowed to specify the category and difficulty level of its next question. The game categories and links to the three types of questions under each category are at this link.
